Acriflavine Powder for Treating Fin Rot, Tail Rot, and Fungal Infections and best solution for Bacterial Infections in fish tanks
Acriflavine powder is a potent antiseptic and antimicrobial agent that has been used in various fields, including medicine and aquaculture. In the aquarium hobby, it has gained popularity as an effective treatment for a range of bacterial infections affecting fish. Its ability to inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms makes it a valuable tool in maintaining aquarium health.
Acriflavine functions by disrupting the cellular processes of bacteria, leading to their death. When added to aquarium water, it creates a hostile environment for these harmful organisms, allowing the fish’s immune system to effectively combat infection. It is important to note that acriflavine is not a cure-all and should be used judiciously as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Important: Always follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer. Improper use of acriflavine can harm your fish.
If the infection worsens despite treatment with acriflavine, or if you notice unusual symptoms in your fish, consult with a qualified veterinarian or aquarium specialist.
While acriflavine is effective in treating infections, prevention is always the best approach. Maintain optimal water quality, avoid overcrowding, and quarantine new fish before introducing them to your main aquarium. A balanced diet and regular water changes also contribute to the overall health of your fish.
Acriflavine powder can be a valuable tool in managing aquarium infections when used correctly. However, it is essential to understand its limitations and use it in conjunction with other preventive measures. By following the guidelines provided and monitoring your fish closely, you can effectively utilize acriflavine to support the health and well-being of your aquatic companions.

(Note: 10 ppm is equivalent to 10 mg of Acriflavine per liter of treatment water or 37.8 mg per 3 liters of treatment water). After 2 hours of treatment, return the fish to habitat water.
